Psalm 139 Funky Fish
All of our artwork begins as a watercolor or acrylic painting. Some originals still remain for sale while others have sold within the last year or around the time the original were painted. We believe that is the beautiful part of offering prints, because it extends the enjoyment of the original painting beyond the person who owns the original.
This original painting began as a design idea behind making a hand painted sign for our booths for events. I had this vision of an arched wood sign with a bunch of brightly colorful fish. After finishing the sign, I wanted a painting that could be made into prints so that many could have this painting in their home. The idea behind the Scripture of Psalm 139 stems from the idea that all of the fish in the painting are different colors and sizes. Psalm 139 discusses how the Lord has hand crafted each individual from in the womb, and He has planned out their days before they are even lived. “You are fearfully and wonderfully made, marvelous are Your works, I know that fully well.”
